Healthy Girls Go Green
Description
Women’s health and Mother Nature: there is a connection. The concerns about environmental chemicals are everywhere. We will bring an awareness of these concerns to women and their families giving information on healthier alternatives while encouraging a more eco-friendly lifestyle. This will be an interactive presentation including the opportunity to learn healthy methods to relax and pamper ourselves and those we love.
Course Objectives
- Discuss environmental chemicals affecting women’s reproductive health
- Explain the concerns to menstrual functions with xenoestrogens
- Define the connection between cancer and environmental exposures
- Explain the alternatives to reduce negative chemical effects
- Discuss promotion of cleaner lifestyles
- List resources for information and research on environmental health
