Description
This seminar provides an opportunity for participants to gain an understanding of the needs and feelings of families who experience fetal loss and the importance of memorial photography and mementos. Options of organ and tissue donation will also be discussed.
Course Objectives
Review the grief process- Discuss communication techniques and interventions useful in caring for bereaved families.
- Describe the importance of creating memories for grieving families.
- Discuss the options of organ / tissue donation and perinatal loss.
- Describe the emotional impact that perinatal loss has on parents and families.
