Pride and Professionalism

Description

This course is designed to promote pride and embrace nursing professionalism. Evidence-based practice, leadership roles, mentoring, customer service, and safe floating are just a few of the hot topics that will be discussed in this exciting new course! This course will also fulfill the ongoing requirements from the Ohio Board of Nursing for 1 contact hour of continuing education on Ohio’s Nurse Practice Act.

Course Objectives

  1. Discuss the professional role when precepting or mentoring. 
  2. Identify ways to create a positive work environment. 
  3. Demonstrate the importance of customer service.
  4. Review professional accountability.

Faculty: Nurses functioning in leadership roles in Region II
Target Audience: RNs working toward or in leadership roles.  Much of the content will be applicable for nurses working outside perinatal specialties.
