AWHONN 2-Day Workshop:
Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course
Description
Utilizing NICHD terminology, this two-day course focuses on the application of essential fetal heart monitoring knowledge and skills in intrapartum nursing practice. It is not a course to be used for orientation, but rather for competency validation of experienced health care professionals. Participants analyze case scenarios using key physiologic principles. Completion of written exams and skills evaluations are required for successfully completing the program and earning contact hours. Resource book is necessary for this course and can be borrowed from your OB unit. Preparation in advance by participants is necessary.

Target Audience: It’s recommended that participants have approximately three years experience using fetal heart monitoring technology in an intrapartum setting.

Dates: January 18 & 19, February 9 & 11, May 17 & 18, June 25 & 28, July 19 & 20 @ Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton
Dates: March 25 & 26 @ Southview Hospital, Dayton
Dates: April 19 & 21 @ Kettering Medical Center, Boonshoft
Classroom
Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (Registration begins at 7:30am)
Deadline: 5 weeks before class date
