Description
This course is designed to educate the healthcare provider about the requirements of accrediting agencies in providing culturally competent care. This progeram will also discuss the use of different tools to assist healthcare providers when communicating in a diverse setting. The cultures of Asian, Hispanic and South African will also be discussed in this seminar.
Course Objectives
- Discuss regulatory agency’s requirements for providing culturally competent care.
- Describe effective communication methods and tools used to communicate in a culturally diverse setting.
- Describe cultural beliefs and family structure of identified cultures.
- Identify modifications made to the care of childbearing families to meet cultural needs.
